Week Nine: photos Fifty-five through Sixty-two!

I've talked about this before. and it's really starting to disturb me now. cat pictures. so many cat pictures i take. i have a strange gravitation toward cats. collecting them, taking pictures of them, i'm "mr. grumpy cat's" number one fan (i'm sure you've seen his meme around on pinterest), i call my cats "my babies", etc. etc. it all adds up to one thing, guys: i'm destined to be a legit Stereotypical OLD MAID LADY. it really hit me as i sorted through my photos for this week: three of the seven days i took pictures... i took photos of my kitties. i mean, i love them, but really? well, yeah. so all that to say - sorry for the multiple cat pictures. but in all honesty, they are kinda cool and the cats ARE kinda cute. admit it. even if you aren't destined to be an old cat lady like myself.

this past week was week nine of my project. that's crazy! that means this week will be my ten week anniversary of starting this project. that's pretty nifty. i say celebrate the small things... so i should do something special this week to celebrate. :)

Wednesday: photo fifty-five: cat picture number one: Marilla. She's momma cat to two of our kittens (whom you will be seeing in photographs below): Mo and Howdy (they are dolls). Momma Kat has a more grumpy, lioness-like exterior, but if you get past that she can be a sweetie (note: -can- be *winkwink*).

Thursday: photo fifty-six: silhouettes and sunsets. yes, love.

Friday: photo fifty-seven: cat picture number two. Howdy. it seems like just yesterday he was just born! he's such a sweetheart: quiet demeanor, mr. introvert, but if you get to know him he will really warm up to you. i caught this in the morning as I was in the midst of taking a photo of something else. he was showing off  (who says cats can't be personable??) and he looked so lovely in the morning light... i love the stark shadows and his striking amber eyes aglow in the light.

Saturday: photo fifty-eight: reflections of a perfect evening sky in window cityscapes.

Sunday: photo fifty-nine: cat photograph number three: miss mo. she's spunky and sweet, and loves to bathe in the morning sunlight - which makes for some pretty good rim light. :)

Monday: photo sixty:  embers in the fire.

Tuesday: photo sixty: nighttime calls for contacts out and glasses on.

Wednesday: photo sixty-one: a water glass and morning light.

that's it.

  2. I think it's wonderful the way you use light and darkness and shadows in your photos. It makes them very dynamic and stand out a lot more! Beautiful shots! :)
