a photo shoot with emily.

saturday before last I had a photo shoot with my friend emily. my inspiration for her was to make her as a bird. not as in, oh wow, she looks like a bird, but more like subtle bird influences in her over-all costume. and, I love how it came out.

I hope you guys have as much fun looking at these as we had taking them... <3

during the course of the photo shoot I the bright idea to go out on the street and wave at oncoming cars, and, not only would it be hilar, but I could get a one-of-a-kind picture. albeit it probably wasn't the safest idea ("did you hear what he just yelled out?" "uh, no, I don't think I want to" *ahem*) I think it turned out pretty cool {although I do wish the car was in closer range}.

  4. Nice! I think my favorites are the ones where she's sitting in the doorway.

Are you sure she's just a friend? Looks like she could be your cousin. :)

  5. Rebecca,
Thank you for that precious and sweet comment on my page! :-) Love hearing from you, too.
Okay...oh...my...goodness! I've been waiting for some time to sit down and comment on this particular post!! I love how you included a great number of photos from this shoot, because it made for a very nice surprise as I was scrolling...it kept going and going! :-)
I love #6 and #10 because of the glow of the lighting on her face and her dark eye makeup. It almost makes her look Indian. #7 is a darling shot of her dress and the feathers on her wrist...there's something so delicate and mysterious about that shot! #16 and #17 are perfect shots! I love the way you framed the shots with the branches and doorway. Also, the red contrast in those pictures is gorgeous! All her head-shots (with and without the mask) are very elegant and leaves me thinking that she's something out of a fairy tale. Great job, Rebecca!! I love to see how the LORD is continuing to grow this gift that He's given you.
    In His grace,
    Erika

  6. I really like this photoshoot Rebecca. I looked at the pictures before I even saw what she was supposed to be representing and I thought you were trying to capture a swan, like from Swan Lake. :-) These are all fanatastic and you girls seemed to have a great time.
